Plan of execution

Once you are greeted and in a private room, your face will be cleansed and photo’s will be taken....No worries these photos are only for us to compare progress after you treatment! A topical anesthetic in applied to the skin for 30 mins. Once that is removed the skin is cleansed with an antibacterial and antimicrobial cleanser. Now we are ready to start!

Microneedling can be enhanced with additional options like PRP, Exosomes, or Growth Factors.

The only step that differs with PRP is the blood draw. After the initial photos, cleansing, and application of a topical anesthetic, a Registered Nurse will perform a quick venipuncture. A tourniquet is placed on the upper arm, the area is sterilized, and a small tube of blood is collected—this process is typically painless and takes just seconds. The benefits of incorporating PRP into your microneedling treatment are definitely worth it! Trust me!
We also consider adding Exosomes or Growth Factors for even more impressive results.

Pre-Treatment

Schedule your appointment at least 2 weeks prior to a special event. Redness, swelling and peeling may be apparent in that time period.

Let the provider know if you have a history of cold sores. An antiviral may be prescribed.

You may not have an active rash in the area being treated.

Avoidance of Accutane for the past 6 months is required.

Avoidance of IPL, laser procedures and waxing for the past 7 days is required.

Discontinue topical retinoids 24 hours before treatment to reduce sensitivity.

If pregnant, you must receive clearance from OB/GYN.

It is recommended to discontinue the use of Aspirin, NSAIDS, Gingko Biloba, Garlic, Ginseng, Flax Oil, Cod Liver Oil, Vitamin A, Vitamin E or any other essential fatty acids 1 week before and after treatment to minimize bruising or bleeding from injections. Please consult with your primary physician prior to discontinuing any medications.

Avoid alcohol, caffeine, Niacin supplement, high-sodium foods, high sugar foods, refined carbohydrates, spicy foods and cigarettes 24-48 hours before and after your injections. All of these factors may increase risk of bruising and swelling.

Post Treatment

Redness or sensitivity might be present (and last up to a few days).

Use Tylenol only as needed for any soreness.

Peeling may start 3-5 days after the procedure.

Do not pick or scratch at treated skin.

Avoid strenuous exercise or sweating for 24 hours due to open skin.

Avoid sun tanning and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.

Your post treatment routine card is individualized and will be provided to you at time of appointment.

For melasma and scarring, RTC every 4-6 weeks; 4-6 treatments recommended for best results.
