Plan of execution
After arriving at The Skin Therapist, we will get you checked in and offer a cold beverage while you wait on your technician to take you to your private treatment room.
We will discuss the results you are looking for and make sure this is the best treatment for your skin.
Next, we will have you sign consent forms and take some photos of your skin for your files. Don't worry! Nobody will see these photos, as we only use them to show you the progress from treatments.
We will give you a pair of goggles and get you comfortable in the treatment chair for your lasering treatment. We will ask you multiple times during the procedure what your sensation is with the laser and change the settings accordingly.
After the treatment is complete, we will go over post care then take you to the front to check out and prebook your next appointment!
FAQ's
When will I see results?
Your pigmentation will gradually fade over the course of 2-4 weeks. We will book 1-4 treatments and you will continously see your concerns fading.
What is the downtime?
The downtime is 2-7 days of pinpoint scabbing. It is your pigmentation rising to the surface and flaking off. It is something most men will not notice and you have to be 4 feet away to see. Most clients do not take off work for this procedure.
How is IPLasers differed from others?
IPL is minimal downtime with maximum result. It is not as reconstructive or pulling pigment as deep as the CO2 Laser. Although, the downtime is a walk in the park compared to CO2 treatments. You will need multiple treatments of IPL lasers. Whereas, CO2 you will only need 1 or 2 treatments every few years. The IPL laser is a little more abrasive than the QSwitch Skin Tightening Laser. The IPL will strip pigmentation out better than QSwitch but will have more downtime.
I'm pregnant or breastfeeding. Can I be treated with lasers?
Lasers should not be done if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
